Neofly Installation
There are 2 options to install Neofly. The ‘auto-updater’ version & ‘folder’ version. Both versions are exactly the same in game play, the only difference is how they install onto your computer. The auto-updater version will automatically check for updates and download them whenever you launch Neofly. The folder version will require you to manually download updates. We recommend installing the auto-updater version, but If you have any issues such as admin or permission rights, the Folder version could be for you. To install simply click neofly.exe If you are struggling to install Neofly please let us know on discord so we can try to help.
Additional downloads
To enhance your Neofly experience you may want to also download some additional files and addons from the download page.
Neofly-Objects: (required for SAR, Emergency, Exploration)
Cessna 152 for Advertising Mission (required for Banner Tow Advertising missions)
Neofly-Smokes (required for Wildfire missions)
Elena (required for Wildfire missions)
All the downloads (with the exception of Elena - see download page) need to be extracted with 7-Zip and placing in your community folder.
By default your community folder will be located:
Microsoft Store Version:
C:\Users\[Your User Name]\AppData\Local\Packages\ Microsoft.FlightSimulator_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalCache\Packages\
Steam Version
C:\Users\[YOUR USERNAME]\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft Flight Simulator\Packages\Community
If you are struggling to find your community folder, you can find its location via the user.cfg file.
Microsoft Store:
%LOCALAPPDATA%\Packages\Microsoft.FlightSimulator_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalCache\UserCfg.Opt
Steam
%APPDATA%\Microsoft Flight Simulator\UserCfg.Opt
Open usercfg.opt with notepad and your package folder location will be in the last line of text. Your community folder will be in the package folder.
